ScanLab Onboarding & Overview

💡
ScanLabMR is the simulator that you will use during the program to practice MRI scans.

Accessing ScanLab

When will I be ready to begin ScanLab?

You will be ready for ScanLab once you have met the following:

✅ Completed Phase 1 didactic (modules and quizzes).

✅ Completed the first module Phase 2 (module and quiz).

Once you have met the above criteria, you can request access to ScanLab.

  2. Our team will review your request to determine if you are ready for ScanLab.
  3. Once our team determines that you are ready for ScanLab, then you will receive an email from our team with next steps.

ScanLab Requirements

Materials Needed

🔵 Access to a computer with a mouse. IPads and cell phones cannot be used.

🔵 Google Chrome is highly recommended.

🔵 An anatomy book or website to use as a reference.

Academic Requirements

✔️ Log improving scores of at least 50% on 500 scans in ‘Standard’ mode.

✔️ Of these 500 passing scans, 20 different body parts must be successfully scanned at least 20 times. Once you meet this requirement, you can use the remaining 100 scans on any body part of your choice.

✔️ Attend a minimum of 10 ScanLab lectures and track which lectures you attend.

✔️ ScanLab academic requirements have been met prior to beginning clinical training.

📌
For each 2 fully completed exams, you will receive 1 hour of credit. Low scores will be deleted and not count. Scans done in sandbox will also not count. While a score of 50% is the minimum, the Tesla team reserves the right to review scans and exclude them from the 500 passing score count requirement for any reason, especially if scan scores aren’t improving over time.

It is possible to earn 250 hours of credit toward the 1,000 hour ARMRIT requirement.

Time Commitment

🚨
ScanLabMR is a limited license. Phase 2, including ScanLab requirements, must be completed within 6 months.

Tips for ScanLab Success

To meet the requirements for passing ScanLab, we highly recommend following the plan below:

Recommended Study Plan

➡️ Aim to complete 100 exams each month.

➡️ Complete 20 exams of each body part.

➡️ Once you have successfully completed 5-10 exams in sandbox mode for a body part, you should request to be removed from sandbox mode.

Requesting To Be Removed From Sandbox Mode

Fill out this form to be removed from Sandbox mode. Requests may take up to 1 business day to be processed.
